The patented DuraLock tongue-and-groove system is what sets DuraPanel apart from standard wall panels. This innovative joining method creates completely seamless, watertight installations while making the fitting process faster and more straightforward than ever.

DuraLock is our unique tongue-and-groove click system — a clever T/G mechanism rather than the traditional slip join used by other panel manufacturers. Available across all DuraPanel 7000 and 5000 ranges, it ensures a seamless, practically invisible join between panels.

Standard wall panels use a simple tongue-and-groove that slides together. This can leave visible seams, requires careful alignment, and may allow water penetration if not perfectly installed.

1. Angle and Click: Panels are angled together, with the tongue clicking securely into the groove.
2. Locking Mechanism: The specially profiled joint locks in place, creating a tight, secure connection.
3. Seamless Finish: Once installed, the join is virtually invisible, creating a continuous surface.
4. Watertight Seal: The tight fit, combined with our recommended sealant, creates a 100% waterproof barrier.

The click system means panels lock together quickly and securely. There's no need for fiddly alignment or holding panels in place while adhesive sets. A competent DIYer can panel a standard bathroom in a single day.

Unlike traditional systems where joins can be visible or create ridges, DuraLock creates a completely flat, seamless surface. This is particularly important for gloss finishes where any imperfection would be obvious.

The tight locking mechanism, combined with our colour-matched sealant, creates a watertight seal that's perfect for wet rooms, shower enclosures, and high-moisture environments.

The click system naturally aligns panels as they lock together, reducing the risk of installation errors. This makes DuraLock ideal for DIY installers who may not have professional experience.

Once locked together, panels support each other across the entire wall surface, creating a rigid, durable installation that won't shift or separate over time.

• Ensure walls are clean, dry, and structurally sound
• Remove any loose material or old adhesive
• Measure your walls and plan panel layout
• Gather tools: tape measure, spirit level, fine-tooth saw or jigsaw, DuraPanel adhesive/sealant

1. Start in a corner: Begin with the first panel, ensuring it's perfectly vertical using a spirit level.
2. Apply adhesive: Apply DuraPanel adhesive to the back of the panel in vertical strips or dabs.
3. Fix the first panel: Press firmly against the wall and hold for a few seconds.
4. Click the second panel: Angle the tongue of the second panel into the groove of the first, then click into place.
5. Continue across the wall: Repeat the process, checking alignment every few panels.
6. Cut to fit: For the final panel or around obstacles, measure carefully and cut with a fine-tooth saw.
7. Seal edges: Apply colour-matched sealant to internal and external corners, and around any penetrations.

DuraPanel 7000: All panels in our premium composite core range feature DuraLock as standard. Available in square edge and tile-effect finishes.

DuraPanel 5000: Most 5000 range panels are available with DuraLock T/G, though some sizes are also available in square edge format for traditional installations.

DuraPanel 3000: Our PVC wide panel range uses a different installation method (adhesive-only) and does not feature DuraLock.

While the DuraLock system allows panels to be disconnected, they're designed for permanent installation. Removal may damage panels or adhesive, making reuse difficult.

No special tools are required. Standard woodworking tools (fine-tooth saw, jigsaw, or panel saw) work perfectly for cutting DuraLock panels.

Yes! DuraLock panels can be installed directly over existing tiles. The adhesive bonds to the tile surface, and the click system works exactly the same way.

Plan access panels in advance for any valves or connections that may need future access. Our technical team can advise on best practices for your specific installation.

DuraLock is designed to be DIY-friendly, but professional installation is recommended for:
